THE NEW CARPET HAS BEEN STRETCHED TODAY (14TH OCTOBER) AND IS NOW RUNNING AT 17.3 - AS OPPOSED TO ITS OPENING SPEED OF 16.1

What a fitting end to a very successful Summer League season. Our Lounge was full to bursting with players who have enjoyed a Summer of competitive play and great friendship. The Club is indebted to everyone who took part over the last 22 weeks. It's been a blast!

Total number of registered players: 222 (Friday being the highest with 80 individuals)

Very satisfying to have a full house this morning for the Summer Leagues. In fact, two players were kind enough to relegate themselves to the bench!

Our Summer Leagues have been very well attended this season - and we're extremely grateful to all our regulars for their continued support.

Day 1. Say 'goodbye' 😢. The old carpet, batons and grippers are removed:

Day 2. The existing underlay (replaced in 2019) is repositioned, retaped and ridges/kinks flattened out. The new carpet is delivered:

Day 3. The underlay is vacuumed and the first of 8 rolls of carpet is positioned. The sewing machine is poised!:

Day 4. All shiny and new (with the exception of the top end banking, which will be installed on Friday 2nd May).
